Dare 2 Be Different International President Khrystus Wallace has said that effective immediately, specially challenged Youth across his home country - St. Kitts - Nevis, The Caribbean and The World will get special attention from his ministry.
Wallace made the statement on Friday 26th October, 2012, a few hours after Kailah James and her mother Ms. Venetia Clarke paid the ministry a courtesy call that he missed due to his usually busy schedule. The courtesy responder was Mrs. Yvette Wallace, M.Ed, who heads The Dare 2 Be Different Academy and particularly teaches reading to children and adults along with agroprocessing.
Mrs Wallace handed over a CD to her son with a Single debut piece titled "Live By Jesus' Word" penned and sung by partially paralyzed Kailah James who isn't letting her disability limit her. Amazed by the music and the outstanding voice of the youth, Wallace said, "You see, here again the church and many of our local, regional and global gospel ministries have failed when we tend to remember one set of people ONLY, Those that we see everyday. From tonight, Dare 2 Be Different International along with The Mount Carmel Baptist Church - St. Kitts would not be named among gospel institutions that are not playing an overly active role in the lives of specially challenged youth globally. We will always have work for ALL our members to do. They will never get time to keep benches warm - that's DANGEROUS in ministry when people NEED HELP.
We are going to join and support as many disability institutions as we can. With the little we have, but access to our technology and printing capabilities - WE WILL BE HELPING. DARE 2 BE DIFFERENT WILL ALWAYS BE THERE SUPPORTING OUR SPECIALLY CHALLENGED YOUTH - REST ASSURED.
It's never about the money, it's more about the heart of compassion. We will begin exploring immediately the possibility of impacting The Society of and for The Blind, The Deaf etc. We'll be keeping assemblies and doing voluntary sessions at The Cotton Thomas Comprehensive School and Ade's Place and we'll explore Nevis and expand this across the region and the world. They need JESUS' INSPIRATION, EMPOWERMENT and and encouragement from others too.
We'll be assisting with organizing Charity Concerts and Fairs to showcase their work to the world. We'll use Dare 2 Be Different Internet Radio and TV - www.d2bdradio.com and www.d2bdtv.com to produce documentaries and also use youtube and other social media sites to get word out."
Mrs. Yvette Wallace related to her son - Khrystus, that Kailah was keenly interested in graphics design and she designed her own CD cover. Khrystus responded, "I've heard about Kailah for years, seen her on TV and yet our ministry never once paid her any mind and we must MAKE UP and humbly apologize for this immediately."
Khrystus sent a late night text to Ms. Clarke, Kailah's mother and sometime after 12 midnight on Saturday, 27th October, 2012, she called Wallace back. Wallace apologized for the lack of involvement in Kailah life and other specially challenged youth and immediately started sharing his ideas with how Dare 2 Be Different was going to get "The Never Give Up Youth Involved."
During the three way conference call between Kailah, Ms. Clarke and Wallace, Kailah was particularly happy to hear that Wallace is going to attach a fundraising page to his ministry's website - www.d2bdifferent.com for her and other Specially Challenged Individuals and groups to raise funds to support their individual cases and causes.
Kailah will also get to see many of the designs that she produces on T-shirts, Mugs, Keyrings, Posters being sold to the world to help to raise funds to support her, her dreams and endeavours for the rest of her life.
She will get access to host her own Internet Radio and TV Shows on Dare 2 Be Different Internet Radio and TV and also on YouTube.
Wallace believes that this will help to draw global assistance for her cause and the causes of other specially challenged youths and ended by saying, "I'm excited Kailah, we're going to take you far and your first song far and let the world know about you. We'll be inducting you as the Director of The Dare 2 Be Different Specially Challenged Youth Global Department so that you can use your story to inspire others and impact the world."
Dare 2 Be Different plans to continue to LEAD THE WAY with Technology in Ministry and open an eSTORE that will sell materials, paintings, graphics, crafts and other items produced by Specially Challenged Individuals across the Caribbean Region and the world so that they can see that there is Value to the Work.
President Kailah will get her very own e-Store to sell what ever she produces and break the barier and stigma that suggests that the specially challenged indivuals CANNOT do anything well.
Dare 2 Be Different is expected to release Kailah's Page for her 18th birthday - 30th October, 2012. The page will allow global individuals to buy her single instantly online. She is expected to release her clothing line on her 18th birthday too and her PayPal Raise Account will become active as she starts raising funds to adjust her current home / build a new more adaptable living residence that would be able to make her life much easier and also provide enough space so audiences can come and listen to Kailah Live in Concert or as she gives motivation speeches to inspire others.
